My Boys

I could just picture them as college students coming home and sitting in the kitchen chatting with me and each other. They're already such good friends and I love that.

After his first dentist appointment. He kept the gloves on for about 30 minutes. The dentist scored major points by giving him those!!

He did so good, even letting them take x-rays...and since I'm pregnant I couldn't be in the room. I expected a melt down, but nope!

When we arrived at the dentist office he started almost yelling "no dentist...I don't like the dentist". I was afraid it would be disasterous...but he did great.

Cupcakes for a friends baby shower. My friend Kristy made these and I thought they turned out adorable!!

Shepherd ripping up my "first day of school 2009" sign. He was in no mood for pictures.

Owen came through for me and posed very nicely. They had their first day of schoool last week. They go Tuesdays and Thursdays and they love it. Owen's first day he didn't even look back, just said "bye, mom". I'm thankful for such a good MDO. Last Thursday the director called me to tell me "that Shepherd is having a great day". She's the best.
8 weeks...and we'll be holding a baby girl. Doesn't seem possible.

Bun in the Oven

These aren't the best, but we had fun messing around and you get the idea...I'm definitely growing...and so is Marley. I go tomorrow for an appointment and glucose testing.

Sayings...

I read Shepherd and Owen the story about David and Goliath and Shepherd loved it. We sang the "Only a boy named David" song too (thanks, Sydni for reminding me of that song). Last night Shepherd prayed "and help Goliath be okay". He's all about Goliath and his blood.

We sing the song "My God is so big" almost every night complete with hand motions. When Shepherd sings it he says "the mountains are His, the BELLIES (instead of valleys) are His". It's so cute.

Owen likes to pray for Marwee Grace and put his hand on my belly. Not sure if he knows what he's doing but it's really sweet.

I asked a worker at Wal-Mart where something was located and as we were walking away Shepherd says to me "Is that a scary maam?" As we continued to shop he would look at each lady and say "That's not scary maam." I'm glad most people can't tell what he's saying.

When we walked down the halls of the hospital one day to visit Nate, Owen would stop, wave and say HI to each person we passed. It was cute...but took forever to get where we were going.

The boys favorite thing is to hide when daddy comes home. Daddy says "Is anybody home?" The boys are snickering and Owen yells loudly "YEAH" and then when Daddy finds us we all yell "surprise!!" It's these little traditions that bless my heart.

Belly pictures coming soon for those of you who keep asking!!

We're pregnant!!!

I seriously feel as though I'm hearing those words for the first time. Last night Nate and I went up to L&D to do a non stress test. For those of you who don't know...NSTs are described in detail HERE. (The primary goal of the test is to measure the heart rate of the fetus in response to its own movements. Healthy babies will respond with an increased heart rate during times of movement, and the heart rate will decrease at rest. The concept behind a non-stress test is that adequate oxygen is required for fetal activity and heart rate to be within normal ranges. When oxygen levels are low, the fetus may not respond normally. Low oxygen levels can often be caused by problems with the placenta or umbilical cord.)

Anyway, we started NSTs with Porter around 33 weeks and his were bad and abnormal. We started them at 29 weeks with Owen and his were good and normal. Marley had one last night and did GREAT!!!! I feel like that means she's going to be okay, although I'm still anticipating her arrival. Marley has been a kicker and a mover and that has given me much peace this pregnancy. I also know that God is in control and each moment with her is a blessing...already. We will continue to do NSTs and ultrasounds until her arrival on October 23rd.

Thank you for praying for us and thank you for praising God with us. Now we just have to wait til October 23rd!!

Apparently he only likes the cream...

This what happens when Owen wakes up first and I don't hear him.
