Owen's 3!!

I can't believe our little miracle baby is 3. How did that happen? I can remember the days, months, and yes, year of rocking that screaming kid...and yet I was so thankful he could scream!! Our joke is that he came out screaming and didn't stop for a year. Isn't God good? Who would have thought we would have had a baby girl and then a baby boy go to heaven and then God bless us again with a baby boy by adoption, and then another baby boy and baby girl!! wow! He continues to show me the blessings of walking with Him.

Owen's birth was a memorial day for sure. I was so nervous that he wouldn't live. I didn't sleep a wink the night before he was born. Those first cries of his blessed me so much. I still look at him at times and think "I can't believe you lived". It was/is truly a miracle.

He is the sweetest 3 year old. Just yesterday I heard him say "Marley, guess what, I love you." He really does love her and watch over her. He is helpful and funny. Owen, we love you so much and are glad God blessed us with your life.

We've had a busy couple of weeks. Nate started work...like a real true job. He's finally doing what he's trained 8+ years to do!! He LOVES it and I couldn't be more proud of him. I love hearing him come home and talk about his day. I have no doubt he's right where God wants him to be...which means that I'm right where I should be as well.

Aunt Jess came to visit last week. We enjoyed playing with the kids, stealing a girls night for dinner and shopping, and going to see Laura in the play Willy Wonka!!

Rob and Marty came for the weekend to celebrate Owen's birthday. We enjoyed going to Rainforest Cafe and lounging with them (we vowed not to work, since last time they came we worked them to the bone).

This week my good friend HB came and her 3 kids (2 are 2 y/o twins). Our house was full of life!! I'm sure the neighbors wondered what we were doing!! We went swimming, played at the park and had a big party for Owen!! We also enjoyed a girls night with dinner at The Cheesecake factory and some shopping. Holly also gave me some room by room decorating advise. She is good and I can't wait to apply her tips!!

Today and tomorrow I will bless my house and prepare for Nate's first weekend of call. Hope it's not too bad!

I knew Nate Livers was a hard worker, but his landscaping job today might just take the cake! Pictures to come.

Our life...

Oh how I long to sit down with each of you and let you in on our little life. There is so much going on and we are having so much fun. It's hard to capture the moments as they pass so quickly.

We are loving our new house and the space to spread out a little bit. We have a mile long to do list...but we can now cross off---paint the living room, dining room, kitchen, master, master bath, upstairs and downstairs hallways, entry, Owen's room and Marley's room!!! check!! wow. I can't believe it got done, but somehow (with the help of 4 AR Livers, 1 Taylor, and 5 Hemingways) it did. Thank God for a hardworking family. Nate and his dad pulled 16 hour work days. It was incredible. Now for the decorating and hanging of pictures. It's going to feel like home pretty soon.

We've been having plumbing problems. Like major, can't use the potty or it overflows, problems. The sent a camera down our pipes and determined we have roots growing in our pipes. Lovely. Tomorrow they will rip up our front yard and replace them. I'll be glad to have working plumbing again!

Our sweet kids...they are growing so fast. Shepherd loves to sing and get into things he shouldn't. He's constantly wanting to help. He also loves movies and video games on the iPhone. I'm not sure if this is an age thing or if he likes them extra more. Owen is a momma's boy. He's stepped up the fussy winey voice. Must be because he's almost 3!! Owen can be so sweet and sensitive, especially to Marley, but he's also big and can easily unintentionally hurt you if he's not careful. And sweet little Marley...she's getting so big even though I pretend she's not. She love to pull herself up to standing although she's not sure how to sit back down and it usually ends with a plop and some tears. She is my social butterfly. She wants to be where everyone else is and will crawl around til she finds us. She still has no teeth. She can say "buh buh" for bye bye, "dah dah" and what sounds like "hi" in her best country voice. Not sure what that's about.

Nate's been busy not only setting up our house, but also setting up his new office. It's only an 8x10 room, but we've been framing his diplomas and getting everything ready for July 19th...his big start day!!!! Can't believe it. For anyone in the N. Dallas area...message me if you're needing a great OB/GYN. I can hook you up!! Seriously my mom has passed out more of Nate's business cards then Nate and I combined! She's his marketing agent. :)

I've been busy setting up house and thinking about what I want the rest of our year to look like. I'm excited to get into our new routines and see how God leads our family this year. New friends, new church, new neighbors, new work, new school...it's a little overwhelming but also exciting. It's going to be a great year.

We love daddy!!

My kids are blessed and I am too. I'd be amiss if I didn't brag on my man on Fathers day! He is patient, energetic, forgiving, loving, self sacrifical, and so much fun!!! He models Christ to our kids and I love that!

Nate didn't just become an awesome dad over night. It's taken lots of hard work and practice of making the first things the first things. He also has a great dad that lead by example. I'm thankful for a godly FIL.

I also am grateful for my dad. He's awesome and I'm so thankful for his character.

(pictures are old)

Our kids want to be with you and be like you!!

more pictures

I've been doing picture post lately for several reasons...1. they show how big and cute the kids are. 2. they're easy, I don't have to think of what to say. 3. I want to remember what we were like and what we did and pictures do that.

Sisters!!! ahhh...there's just something refreshing about getting to hang out with my sisters. We don't get to do it often enough and for that I'm sad. We got about 7 hours together on Saturday and it was short but wonderful. Love those redheads!!

On the way back from the grocery store Marley was very good and very quiet. When I got home I realized her brothers had shared their yogurt with her. (They were 3 in a row since we were in Nate's Accord, close is not always better.)

My precious babies.

I've heard that Shepherd got a haircut this week while I'm in Padre. Can't wait to see that buzzed kid.

Owen's my serious kid. Always thinking always aware and contemplating.

I had the privledge of attending a great friend's wedding. She was a beautiful bride and it was a wonderful day.
Girls girls girls!!!
