We're moving.
There I said it.
We're not moving to Little Rock.
For the last 6 years I always thought we'd end up back in Little Rock.
We're not.
I saw it coming (maybe even before Nate did) and God prepared my heart. At times I'm still so sad. I kept thinking in my mind how I couldn't wait to hang out with HEB, or Traci, or Jess. And to be close to Nate's family...all of his family. Now we're the ones left out. The familiar, the comfortable, the easy...
But no, not us. When have we chosen the easy, comfortable (or maybe even a bit boring)??? So...where are moving you ask? To "the Metroplex"...the "Big D" or "DFW". Our new home will be Grapevine, TX (https://www.grapevinetexasusa.com/). This happens to be one of the cutest towns I know. It's small with a great bit of charm, but close to the big city. Nate will be working at Baylor Grapevine as a REAL doctor!!! Weirdo!! This will strech me, challenge me, and grow me. I'm not ready to know noone and start over again...didn't I just do that???
With the upcoming move (May or June 2010) things are different. Our house is clean and ready to show. Friendships seem to reveal heart protecting themselves. Neighbors chat about who might buy our house. And I try to not think about it at all. I'm sad. I love this place and more importantly these people. Gonna miss it.

We are trying to sell by owner, but will list with a realtor later this month.

ReplyDeleteThe only positive thing about all this moving stuff is that you'll be close to my parents...which means I can visit you often!!! So, so sad to even think about it. But, glad for you and Nate...really, I am:)

ReplyDeleteHey friend, haven't been on here in a while...your pics are so sweet. I'm totally sad that you're not moving here, but I know God's sovereign plan is so much better than mine! Casey's working on a possible deal in Dallas, so we may be there a few times towards the end of the year!! We'll be praying for the house to sell quickly. And the pictures of beautiful Halley - she sure does look like Marley (or, I guess Marley looks like HER)! Can't believe it's been 6 years - we love that baby girl!
